Always helpful staff. The building is pretty cool. I know they have a great summer program my kids enjoy but the acoustics upstairs where the kids area is just echoes everywhere. My kids don't understand library volume yet so I find it difficult to enjoy our time in here compared to the one in town. Sadly too through the summer monsoons I have to compete with drip buckets and tarps as I search for the perfect bedtime stories in the kids section.
Ugly decor and building. Beautiful meeting room on 3rd floor. Decor and seating in main library not conducive to wanting to stay and enjoy. Same color schemes that fast food places use to encourage you to hurry up and leave.
Worth seeing just for the artistic architecture. Helpful staff, good study desks, great views. Be sure to visit the roof deck!
We've enjoyed this library for years. My children and now my grandchildren go to the kids Story Time where they are read to, and learn together with really great staff members. They have teen workshops, monthly book clubs, different speakers and classes available. Pretty much something for everyone. Lots of work is put into this library, staff is friendly and helpful. Used book store on premises. My favorite thing to do is go upstairs to the non fiction area and sit in the seats in front of the windows that are full wall length, enjoy the peace and read. Great views.
I am in the library several days a week and no matter what questions I might have the staff is always helpful.
