My wife and I had a lovely 2 night stay here at Hotel St. Michael and thoroughly enjoyed it. We love our Arizona history and Prescott has a lot to offer.Hotel St. Michael set it's roots deep, right in Whiskey Row on Courthouse Square a century ago. And will probably be there for another century because it has everything to offer. Premier location, beautiful early 1900's architecture and charm that includes winding ornate staircase as well as the original 1925 mechanical elevator. The ground floor has multiple stores with clothes, art, books and an Awesome restaurant, Bistro St. Michael. This hotel really should be added to you list of 'Must Visit' locations.
This is an awesome hotel, in a historic building. Because of that the rooms aren't huge, but they are still comfy. I didn't see any of the spirits that haunt the building though. I'll definitely be back, and looking for the spirits will just be part of the reason. The great views, friendly staff, and spot on Whiskey Row just seal it!
I've stayed here twice now and each time has been fabulous! I love the vintage historic style, from the old elevator to the large wood banisters. Their bistro has amazing food! Brunch is delicious even though their mimosa price is outrageous! Definitely my #1 pick for a hotel when I'm up there!
Hotel St. Michael was a dream! The front desk staff were so welcoming and helpful. The building is historic, but very comfortable, even for two twenty-somethings. Compared to previous stays in other old hotels, this one was very well furnished with updated pieces and doesn't have that strange smell that old buildings can have. The room and bathroom were small for today's standards, but we found it cozy. I love the wide, blue-carpeted, wooden staircase, and the old photographs hanging around the place. It was fun to ride Arizona's oldest elevator! Also, the complimentary breakfast was absolutely the highlight of my morning (don't skip the bacon!).
Great on the firm side beds and linens. Very nice room and love the historic preservation of this hotel with the lift and woodwork in the lobby. Perfect location. Bring a sleep mask (have to have our curtain open to keep getting a/c into the room) & ear plugs in case it's loud.
