Charming little slice of Americana restaurant. Friendly service, breakfast buffet bar as well as order off menu, case of pies up front... Delicious food, bottomless coffee cup. Will go again!
Typical American-dining Experience. Pricing and service were good. It was refreshing eat at somewhere with a more local-owned vibe and yet not charging tourist-trap rates. There is a lot of that in Prescott. Food here was okay. Cook needs to learn how to make over-easy eggs. Ours today, on two orders of skillets, were pushing against the "over-medium going to over-well" line pretty hard. However, the country potatoes in the skillet were a perfect example of the diner-experience food: a little rough, a little greasy and great tasting feeling more homestyle than a what some places are tossing on their skillets out there these days. We'll probably be back as they are one of the few places left in Arizona that actually has a breakfast bar; we arrived too late to really take advantage of it. Our wait staff was great; I think her name was Lyra? This place really fell right in the middle for my wife and I experience wise.
We stopped on our way home from visiting whiskey row. It's a clean restaurant. Our kids got burgers which were really good. I had the salad buffet. I didn't know there were croutons or any topping like that until leaving when I noticed it by the ice cream. My husband had the all you can eat shrimp and fish. The tartar sauce was good. The fish was too but he wasn't impressed with the shrimp. Our waitress was nice and attentive.
We stopped here when visiting family in Prescott and was pleasantly surprised by this little gem. It has a salad/soup bar which can be added to any meal with a soft serve frozen yogurt bar as well. Our waitress was awesome and checked on us often and was more than helpful with menu suggestions. She also listened to my kiddo with autism and answered all the questions he had about his order and made him feel good about ordering for himself. One person in our party ordered the fish and shrimp fry which is available on Saturdays and loved it. Everyone else loved their food as well. Only missing a star because some of the menu items seemed a little overpriced while others were perfectly priced.
Well, it is relatively inexpensive, especially by Prescott standards. The food is umm ... Inexpensive. Shrug. I are at several restaurants in Prescott - all were great and fairly expensive. This one was inexpensive. You get what you pay for. Server was good until he disappeared. I won't be back. If I want inexpensive food, I'll stay home. My cooking is better, my service is probably worse. My prices are better and the only thing fresher than my food is my mouth.
