Service is GREAT. In and out in no time. Friendly atmosphere. Not too pricey!
I have never been compelled to write review for a laundry mat (good or bad) until now. I have been going to laundry mats on and off for many years and I have never had an issue with anybody at a laundry mat whether it be other customers, workers or owners of a laundry mat. Its quite simple. I go to a laundry mat to clean my cloth and leave. No frills, no drama. I don't even care what the place looks like as long as the machines work pretty well then, we all good. Frankly, the machines at The Cleaning Machine Laundry mat at 325 E Gurley Street in Prescott worked well enough. I will add however, bring a lot of quarters because the dryers will take a whole bunch of them until you just give up an rely on the sun to do the rest of the drying. Otherwise, the machines were functional. The reason I am writing the review is because the two times I have been at the Cleaning Machine I was turned off by the way the staff (I assume owner/s perhaps) treated me. I don't need to be wined and dinned by any stretch but don't be condescending when I asked a very simple question. I find it hard to believe they have any customers if this is in fact how they treat others. The second experience was worse. There were only a few people washing their cloths and plenty of empty machines. I put my cloths in the washer and left for about 30-35 minutes. When I returned my laundry was missing. So I started looking around for where it may be at which time the staff member (owner perhaps) looked at me and said they were closed. I said I had already finished washing my cloths but somebody moved them. He pointed at what turned out to be my cloths in a cart in the corner. Number one, I don't like it when people mess with my belongings especially cloths. It would be one thing if there was a line to do laundry and my machine was in high demand. However, 90% on the washers were empty. Nevertheless, I was not that upset about it since I did leave for a bit. I didn't express my thoughts to the owner either. I just let it slide. Then I went on to ask what time they actually close. He said in about 50 minutes. I thought to myself, did I just enter the twilight zone because he just got done telling me they were closed. There is more to the equation too. I had a question about the .50 cent to start and .25 to continue. I simple asked if I needed to put the .25 in before the machine finished the cycle or could I wait until after the cycle finished. I think it was a legitimate question because otherwise how would it know if I was the same person continuing the same cycle? I assumed it would not know and I would have to again but in .50 instead on .25 to continue. It really wasn't about the money either, I was just curious as to the process. The gentlemen looked at me and said, "what do you think." Nevertheless, in both experiences, I didn't like the way I was treated and spoken to with a condescending attitude. Were my experiences the end of the world...No. Did I loose sleep over it...No. If I was in a dilemma and I had to wash my cloths there again would I. Perhaps, but every other place in town would have to be closed and it would have to be quite a dilemma. Mainly because I don't like to do business with people who don't treat their customers appropriately. I feel like it encourages the behavior. The Cleaning Machine from what I witnessed and experienced does not treat their customers appropriately...Period end of story.
Very rude woman at counter. Arrrived at 7pm, they close at 8. Explained we only needed to dry our clothes as our dryer was not working. She said "we are closed and we have a no dry only policy, you have to wash in order to dry." Then added welcome to Prescott. Sounds like a person I would run into in CA, first rude person so far. We are retired and have been here a week.
Very rude lady. One of the dryers ate 2 quarters of mine. Wasnt able to get them reimbursed.. This woman has always been rude to me for no reason whatsoever. Ive been nothing but polite every week I come here. 0 stars. People suck .
Staff more worried about baskets on the tables rather than the leaky roof and holes in the sealings , dryers heat is turned down so you have to keep popping money into them so you can get ur clothes dry. They force you to use the industrial washers for blankets and towels and such only because the double size regular washer is 2.75 and the industrial machine is 6.00 bucks. No a/c small parking lot, drink machine doesnt work. Wont return
