Pretty nice little place. Not a lot of shaded areas near the lake. Metal toilets just so you know but they are normal and flush at least. No soap so bring some if you wanna wash your hands and stuff. Nice little picnic areas. No swimming :) pretty decent little spot for the family.
Great and beautiful place for a picnic or just to go see the old mining equipment they used a long time ago, there's a bridge across the lake leading to other picnic tables and you can also fish there. Great scenery for picture taking, and there's a viewing platform to see the canyon down below the spillway.
What the what!? This park was great! I'm used to lush green parks in Wisconsin but now I wish I was used to parks like Fain Park. Dry, warm, and no bugs! Very clean too. We hiked the trails and enjoyed viewing the history of the dam.
Great park for the whole family. Lots of great events, came for badges and bobbers and my kids loved it. They have improved this park adding a nice foot bridge so you don't have to cross to the other side on the rocks and stuff...wish it still had all the big trees though, hopefully they are planning to plant more and make it feel like it used to, cool and inviting.
The fishing is easy due to the dock, the bridge and a picnic table close to the water. This park is more natural than any with an urban lake in Phoenix. It also has a historical mining display which is cool.
