The only thing good about this Campground was Pattie at reservations and ? Margie ? at the check in. Both were extremely helpful and friendly. Unfortunately from there it went downhill. The reservation area campsites are very close together. Any supervision or rules enforcement leaves the park between 7-8 PM. The first night of our three day stay we were alone in the CG until two car's slipped into the site next to us after dark. They left the next AM at sunrise. I doubt they paid any fee. The next night a party developed in the non reservation sites on the hill. They carried on with laughter and loud music until someone called the police and they shut it down around 1AM. On both of the last two nights we were there the campers one site away from us stayed up talking around their campfire until 1 or 2 AM. They kept the fire going by adding starting fluid. Because there were no electrical hookups our bedroom window was open in an attempt to ventilate and cool our RV. The stench from there fire was overwhelming. A traffic circle (roundabout) on Hwy. 89 led to the road entering the CG. It seemed every loud truck and motorcycle used it as a starting gate for there race towards Prescott. Visit the lake it's interesting and beautiful. Stay at the CG if none of the things I mentioned bother you.

You can't swim here but it's a great place to kayak. There are biking trials and many hiking trails. I love to do the loop which is about 5 mikes round trip. You end up below the dam and climbing over the rocks! It's all so beautiful and fun. Bring extra water in the summer as it can be a bit warm. The 3 dollar day pass is more than worth it. Camping is available as well... I think it's like $15 a day but I'm not totally sure. Play area for kids. Large grass area for lounging. Covered areas with grills. Disk golf! Etc etc.Definitely a great way to spend a few hours on a Saturday or Sunday.

Amazing scenery with it's awesome views can of rocks. Good spot for kite flying and kid friendly. Laid back camping but with shower house Not very far off hiway so some traffic noise

I love this place, when we moved here years ago we specifically bought a house close by. Now I visit every time I am back in town. It's a great place to hike and explore. Come on Wednesday parking is free; otherwise it's $3

Watson Lake is an iconic for photo ops when in Prescott. Enjoy an easy walking trail, to my understanding goes all the way around the lake but I'm not 100% sure. Great spot for kayaking, paddle boarding and canoeing. Parking was only $3.

An exquisite gem. Magnificent views. All praise to Prescott for preserving this treasure!Boating, hiking, and camping well worth turning aside for.I will repeat my visit any time I am in Prescott!
